Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shakar is one of the American and British sitar artist. She is also the first and youngest woman to be awarded an award from the British House of Commons Award. Anoushka Sitar Shankar is an Indian young sitar star. She is the student and daughter to Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982. During her first years she split in London New Delhi. Her debut performance was in New Delhi when she was thirteen years old. Then she relocated into Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha is an aspiring young lady, nevertheless, she has an amazing career in music and performance. She is often seen performing alongside her father and has done so for many years. She released Anourag her first solo album in 1998. It was nominated for a Grammy Award. Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. As she's appeared on many of the biggest stages around all over the globe, her career on stage has been expansive. Anoushka Shakar's career isn't only limited to music. Bapi the The Love of My Live, a biography of a picture that was dedicating to her dad Ravi Shankar was published in 2002. In 2003, she appeared as an Bharat Nathyam young dancer Dance Like a Man. Anoushka is still progressing in her career and there will be many new things that will be coming from this amazing woman. Anoushka is a native of England and spent a lot of her growing up between London in the UK and Delhi. Then she moved to California and attended the high school. At the age of 9 she began her studies in music with her father. The first time she performed on the Sitar took place at her 75th Birthday celebration in Delhi in the year following. Anoushka had the opportunity to acquire numerous valuable experience by accompanying her dad when he toured the world. This included performing in Carnegie Hall and at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD concerts, as well as making recordings together with George Harrison. Her musicianship and talent was acknowledged by the British Parliament as being among the top of the best in Asian Arts.
